Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines for Story Contributors

1. Share Your Own Story

Write about your own experiences, perspectives, and journey. Be honest and authentic, and avoid presenting someone else's experiences as your own.

2. Be Respectful

Treat everyone with kindness and respect. We welcome diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives, even when experiences differ.

3. Protect Privacy

Please avoid sharing personal information about yourself or others, such as full names, addresses, phone numbers, or identifying details, unless you have permission to do so.

4. Respect Others' Confidentiality

If your story involves other people, consider changing names or identifying details to protect their privacy. Do not share private information without consent.

5. Keep Content Appropriate

We encourage thoughtful, constructive storytelling. Content that includes hate speech, harassment, discrimination, threats, or explicit graphic material will not be published.

6. Include Content Warnings When Appropriate

If your story discusses sensitive topics such as abuse, addiction, self-harm, grief, or violence, please include a brief content warning at the beginning.

7. Avoid Medical or Legal Advice

You are welcome to share what worked for you, but please avoid presenting personal experiences as professional medical, legal, or mental health advice.

8. No Promotional Content

Stories should focus on personal experiences rather than advertising products, services, businesses, or fundraising efforts.
