What Do You Want To Talk About

I started AfterTheFormation.com because I live with extreme PTSD. I have seen what it does outside the clinic. It does not stay in one person. It ripples.

It impacts marriage. It impacts parenting. It impacts jobs, friendships, and how we show up in our community. Sometimes that ripple reaches the legal system.

I have been there. I have been arrested. I am currently on probation. I am not sharing that for sympathy. I am sharing it because silence keeps people stuck, and honesty can help someone else get support sooner.

The formation gave us structure, purpose, and brotherhood. After the formation, many of us are left to navigate the invisible wounds alone. This site exists to make sure no one has to.

What we do here:

The Ripple Effect. We talk about what PTSD really does at home. The stress on spouses, the confusion for kids, the strain on community and work.

Family and Community. Tools and real conversations for the people who love and live with veterans.

The Voice. A protected, respectful space for active duty and veterans to speak honestly about service today, transition, leadership, and life after.

This is peer support and lived experience. AfterTheFormation.com is not medical or legal advice. For support, please contact a trusted provider. If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988 and press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line or text 838255.

If one family feels less alone here, the mission is working.

Thank you for standing with us.
